Many people have thought about what creativity has done for your brain. We've decided to research this topic: What does creativity do for your brain? With this site you can find out.
We have looked at the brain as a whole and not just as a scientific body part. We have "dissected" the brain into many different parts and examined them. To consider "whole-brain creativity," we looked at the balance of intellect and feelings. It has been discovered that optimism, working with others, success in love, work and other relationships will help your brain function healthier and it will make you more intellegent!
How Each Side of the Brain Works
|
Left Brain
|
Right Brain
|
| Logical: responsible for logic functions such as math, computations & logical deductions | Imaginative: responsible for imagination, visualization, and "open-ended" creative thinking |
| Analytic: examines things part by part and relates to small details | Synthetic: arranges the parts to form the whole; can perceive the whole |
| Computational: uses sums and computations to reach estimates | Intuitional: uses intuition to sense or get a feeling of a situation; includes hunches |
| Factual: deals with details, items, particulars, and features of a thing | Visual/visuo-spatial: uses imagery, colors; perceives shape and dimension |
| Insular: works within the parameters of an individual's existing data | "Open-Ended": in touch with, and can tap into, unlimited "collective conciousness" |

A main part of this project is psychology (the human study of behavior). Psycology has helped us find out about the work of the brain. One man that had a very complex brain was Albert Einstein. He stated, "Imagination is more important than knowledge." If we only used the factual infomation that we know, things will remain the same, if not more dull. It is healthier to use our imagination to create knew ideas, solutions, and goals. This is what makes all of our lives full of excitement and creativity. People need to be open to "the ocean of all possibilities."
An interesting part of the brain is the Alpha state. That is where the activity of the right brain occurs. It brings our imaginative and creative characterisics as well as our intuition out. If this state of the brain is healthy, then our ideas will flow like a long, winding river. We go through the Alpha state at least twice a day. It starts very early in the morning during an intense state of relaxation. The alpha state makes us more conductive to innovative thnking, and it creates new ideas rather than just processing old ones over and over again.
