On Monday July 3rd, 2006 Governor Blagojevich signed the Predator Accountability Act into Law! Under this new law survivors of the sex trade can seek compensation from their abusers in civil court. Attend this event to learn more about the Predator Accountability Act, effective outrach strategies, and the need for community-based organizations to raise awareness about these issues.

The convening will feature a 13 minute preview screening of Turning A Corner, the Beyondmedia documentary that tells the stories of people involved in Chicago's sex trade by recounting their survival and triumph over homelessness, violence and discrimination, and their efforts to lobby for the Predator Accountability Act that has just become law.
